Country Star Jared Blake Performs on Daybreak

(WXOW) -- On the heels of releasing his newest single "Stomp," Jared Blake performed a preview on Daybreak ahead of an upcoming concert in Galesville.

Blake and his band will be playing Thursday, July 17 at Champions Resort off Highway 53 outside of Galesville as part of a fundraiser for GET High School's choir, Vocal Point. The 16-person a cappella group will open the show at 6:30, followed by Blake at 8:00 p.m. Tickets are $10 in advance and $15 at the door. Money raised goes to support Vocal Point's upcoming trip to Carnegie Hall as part of a national a cappella music festival. Concert-goers must by 21 years old or accompanied by an adult.

Jared Blake said he wanted to be a part of this event because he has a close connection with Wisconsin. Blake played at Champions Resort soon after becoming a finalist on the hit TV show "The Voice." He also said the Badger State works in conjunction with a group close to his heart, "Bringing Families Closer Through Camping."
